After using the Veer for the last few months, I wanted to give a full review on our experience, pros and cons, how it’s useful and most importantly whether it’s worth the splurge.
The Veer Cruiser is an all-terrain wagon. You can pull it like a wagon but also push it like a stroller. I was mainly interested in the Veer because of its durability and all-terrain wheels. We are an adventure-loving family that constantly spends the summer outdoors, camping, and exploring a new travel destination. Having a wagon that can make it through any type of weather and footing was a must for us.
Similarly, when we were shopping for our first stroller, we looked for something with the best and biggest wheels that would be able to push through anything. The all-terrain feature of the wagon allows the wheels to take you on pavement, gravel, sand, and snow. The wheels are large, super strong, and durable for any landscape you may come across.
The research that we did on wagons was extensive. We compared all the features, accessories, and price points before purchasing the Veer. We are not ones to splurge on baby items, but this was something we couldn’t live without.
My Favourite Features
One of the things I love about the Veer, is that it is suitable for newborns because it has the carrier attachment feature on top of the wagon. The wagon is something you can use for years to come with the car seat attachment as it allows you to start using it from when your child is young. The toddler seats hold up to 55 lbs per side, which would be able to be of use to ages up to seven years old. This functionality offers such longevity for your kids growing up.
The wagon itself has two comfortable seats that face each other, a lowered area for leg room so their body doesn’t have to rest at the same height, as most other wagons offer. The spacious seats come with safety seatbelts, and we also purchased the comfort seat for extra padding and coziness.
The handle to pull or push the wagon is adjustable and makes towing your little ones accessible for different heights and fashions two cupholders. On the lower portion of the handle, there is a brake pedal for when the wagon is parked.
A snack tray with cupholders also comes with the veer package and is easily removable. It can be hooked onto the top edges of the wagon and set wherever is best across the top portion of the wagon.
Inside the wagon along the edges of the seats, includes breathable pockets for extra storage and is so handy for snacks and toys that your children can access themselves.
The Veer is easily folded down, you can disassemble the entire thing with one hand, and can be stored away in a flat small way in the back of your vehicle.
The entire wagon is washable, which is a great feature for those summertime messes or if the terrain is muddy, it is so easy to clean. The add-ons that are available are helpful too, we purchased the comfort seat as well as the canopy for hot, sunny days.
Pros and Cons
Although there are so many great aspects of the veer there are a few cons that I have read about from parents. The price point is the first one that everyone finds a little excessive for a wagon. As well, parents find it a bit heavy. It is bulky and large but overall, the durability and longevity I see in it, is promising and outweigh the cons for us.
Worth it?
I am an on-the-go, adventure type of mom and think a purchase such as this is necessary for our lifestyle. We will get so much use out of our wagon, and the durability of it tells me it will stand the test of childhood time. I look forward to experiencing adventures with the veer as our family grows and it will become more full of little ones and add on accessories.
This is the best overall wagon because you get a lot of features in one that a lot of wagons seem to be missing. The veer has everything you could ask for. It allows you to have a stroller-like look and can be used for multiple children including the use of a car seat attachment. It allows for a ton of space and storage inside the wagon.
The cost of the Veer will hit everyone’s budget differently. If you’re on the fence and can splurge, I honestly think it’s 100% worth it. I love this wagon and couldn’t imagine spending money on any other version of a wagon now that I have experienced life with the veer.
Have you used the Veer before? Are you currently saving for the purchase of the Veer? I would love to know what your experience is, and how your little ones liked it. Whether you’ve tried other options and have decided its time to go with purchasing the Veer or you are purchasing a wagon for the first time ever, let me know what you think!
