Spring is here and summer is just around the corner. We couldn’t have been more excited to be kicking off the season with a lake house family vacation! We are obsessed with getting away as a family to spend quality time together, adventuring someplace new. We booked a lake house rental through Airbnb on Faraday Lake, located on the edge of the Kawartha Highlands.
The property was beautiful with a beach at the doorstep, it was so nice to be close to the water. I feel so inspired by our time here that I wanted to share how we spent our days at Faraday Lake.
Lake House Recap
Fishing was a top priority when planning our lake house vacation, we were sure to throw in multiple fishing rods. We enjoy fishing and teaching our little one these things fill our hearts! I know this is just the beginning of their shared love for fishing that will last a lifetime.
The feeling of vacationing at a lake house really allows you to unwind and focus on time together. It was so nice to take this opportunity to soak in these special days with our family.
The beauty of this lake house location was the lake view and sandy beach. We loved spending our days here taking in the sun, as well as sitting out and watching the sunsets in the evening.
While staying at this lake house, we visited Silent Lake Provincial Park. We take pleasure in visiting provincial parks and this one had a beautiful beach. The park also has lots of hiking trails and scenic areas to discover. We’ve camped here before but it was fun to do some more exploring of the park during this afternoon trip.
During our stay at the lake house, we hosted some friends for a couple of nights and had such a blast! This lake house rental had four bedrooms with ample space for all of us. It was great being outdoors, spending time with friends, and seeing our little ones play together. We enjoyed having time with friends as well as quality time for our sweet little fam!
Our lake house vacation was a great adventure for our family. Taking opportunities to spend time together as a family, lets our little ones know how much they are valued. The time with our children goes by so fast and I’m glad we were able to make these special memories at this lake house.
